Beauty Cosmetic Scanner

Privacy Policy

Last updated 4 September 2026

Beauty Cosmetic Scanner is built so that your beauty profile stays yours. This policy explains exactly what the app stores, what it sends to our server, and what it never does.

What stays on your device

What is sent to our server, and why

Some features need analysis that cannot run on the phone. When you use them, the app sends the minimum needed over an encrypted connection to our Cloudflare Worker, which forwards it to our AI providers (Anthropic and, as a fallback, OpenAI):

Photos and requests are processed to produce your result and are not stored on our server, not used to train models, and not linked to your name or to any identifier that would let us build a profile of you. Your name is never included in what is sent.

Ingredient data

Ingredient records come from Open Beauty Facts, an open database published under the Open Database License. Looking up a product sends only the product identifier or name to that service.

Purchases

Beauty Cosmetic Scanner Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details. The app asks Apple whether a valid subscription exists in order to unlock Pro features.

What we do not do

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your choices

Beauty Cosmetic Scanner is an informational tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose skin or hair conditions and does not replace a dermatologist.
